You're ENGAGED!

CONGRATS!

So you are probably thinking, what now? Well first, let me start off by saying...I am so excited for you! This is going to be such an exciting time in your life and I hope that this process will be everything you could have ever dreamed of! While working on my website I thought it would be a good idea to create a guide that would be helpful to you as you move through your wedding timeline; This will be a guide that should help ease some of those nerves that you may have and answer some of those frequently asked questions about your upcoming engagement session. So let's jump right in and get ready to have some fun together!

location, location...location

First things first, let's brainstorm what type of location you would like for your engagement session. I like to think this is one of those parts of the wedding timeline that gets to be super easy and very fun! Whether you choose to run through open fields with your hunny at sunset, walk through Park Avenue for a sweet AM coffee date or cozy up together in your home living room, I will be by your side every step of the way to make it feel as easy and as relaxed as possible!

time of day

Time of day is sooo important. I am a natural light photographer (which means I loveee to shoot outdoors)! My favorite time of day to shoot is during Golden Hour - which always falls about one hour before sunset. I love warm tones and Florida has THE best sunsets; I know, I know I am a bit biased ;) The time of day is such a major part of how your photos will end up looking once all is said and done; If you prefer warm and glowy look, golden hour is your time!

check out PINTEREST for outfit ideas

This part is so fun too!! It may feel overwhelming when you are looking for outfits for your engagement session but please let me help by trying to make it really simple. Neutral colors always photograph so nicely and evenly without competing too much with your location. So, if you are looking for colors to wear, my suggestion would be to wear neutral colors that complement each other without being exactly the same color. We want to try to stay away from the "matchy matchy" look. Remember when we were kids going to JCPenney to have our family photos done all in white sweaters with blue jeans? Yeah, let's just go ahead and skip all of that HA!

be yourselves!

Lastly, try to be completely yourselves! I know, it seems easy to say because I'm not the one in front of the camera, but I have been there before. I completely remember what that feels like! The difference maker in being nervous or not I believe is the photographer! My hope is to make this so easy and so seamless for you that you walk away and say to your significant other how quickly the nerves just melted away and how you felt like it was just you two spending some quality time together! So, let's have some fun and let's get this exciting time in your life started with some amazing photo memories that you won't want to stop staring at <3
